If you are looking for an atmoshperic venue for your Christmas party, The Cider Barn is the perfect place.
Our Chefs have created really interesting festive menus to suit everyone, but if there is anyone with dietary requirements in your party please let us know and we will endeavour to accomodate you.
Christmas festivities and New Year’s Eve
We are offering a festive menu on Christams eve instead of our regular a la carte menu.
For Christmas day we will serve a traditional Christmas lunch. Arrival between 12noon and 12.30pm for a drink and appetizers and we will aim to start serving at 1pm. You will have your table for the afternoon.
To celebrate the New Year we are offering a festive set menu, arrival between 7.30pm and 7.45pm for a glass of Prosecco and canapes, and we will aim to serve the first course at 8.15pm. The Cider Barn Team will be joining our guests for a glass of Prosecco at midnight.
For each of theses days we will require a deposit of £10 per adults on the booking to be paid when you are making your booking.
For Christmas Day we ask our guests to pre-order and get back to us by the 1st December with the order and final payment.
Christmas Eve 2018 Menu
Glass of mulled cider or Weobley Ash apple juice
Smoked salmon roulade with pickled cucumber and dill oil
Duck rillettes with carrot and star anise purée, sourdough crisps and sauerkraut
Chicory tart with a pear and walnut salad and blue cheese
Wild Duck with dauphinois potatoes, braised chicory and cherry sauce
Venison Haunch steak with charred clementine, kale, butternut gratin and juniper
Pan roasted Sea bream with Jerusalem artichoke, beetroot, and a red wine sauce
Chocolate, peanut and salted caramel tart with rum and raisin purée
Apple tart tatin with brown butter panna cotta and apple sorbet
Lemon mousse with meringue, thyme ice cream and caramel crumb
Selection of local cheeses with Irish marrow chutney, crackers and celery

Christmas Day 2018 Menu
Glass of mulled Cider or Weobley Ash apple juice with appetizers on arrival
Whiskey cured salmon with smoked beetroot, hazelnuts, endive and avocado purée
Chicory tart with pear and walnut salad and blue cheese croquette
Pan roasted pigeon with Jerusalem artichoke, kalettes and sherry reduction
Roast Hereford Sirloin with horseradish cream, roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding
Free range Duck with roast potatoes and orange and cranberry stuffing
Sea Bream with boulangère potatoes, leek velouté and leek crisps
All served with:
Parsnips, cauliflower cheese, roasted carrots, Brussels sprouts with chestnuts and bacon and braised red cabbage
Christmas pudding with brandy sauce and vanilla ice cream
Chocolate and stout délice with malt honeycomb and rum and raisin purée
Damson and lemon baked Alaska
Selection of local cheeses with Irish marrow chutney, celery and crackers
Tea and coffee with petit fours.

New Year’s Eve 2018 Menu
Time to mingle – Glass of Prosecco and Canapés
Baked plaice with leek and potato velouté, turnips and oyster beignet
Pan Roasted Duck with Haggis scotch egg, ‘neps and tats’ and port sauce
Pickled pear tart tartan and Gorgonzola ice cream
A glass of Prosecco to celebrate at 12pm.
