Christmas Festivities at The Cider Barn

 To celebrate Christmas and the festive period we will be offering a traditionnal Christmas lunch on Christmas day and on New year’s eve we will offer you a special winter banquet served at your table, please see below for each event details.

 

If you are thinking of getting together with family or friends during the festive period we will be open the following days,

Thursday 24th December 6pm-11pm

Friday 25th December 12pm-4pm

Saturday 26th December Closed

Sunday 27th December 12pm-4pm

Monday 28th, Tuesday 29th, Wednesday 30th December 12-3pm & 6-11pm

Thursday 31st December 6pm-11pm

 

 Christmas Day 

We are asking for £10 deposit per person when booking,

and we will require your food pre-selection as well as full paymnet by the 1st December 

Menu

Mulled Cider or apple juice with appetisers on arrival 

Starters 

Panfried Mackerel with bloody Mary velouté and a warm salad of lardo tomato and samphire

Spinach malfatti with truffle purée, Jerusalem artichokes and burnt onion

Venison carpaccio and croquette with beetroot and pancetta ricotta 

Mains 

Roast Hereford Sirloin with smoked shin croquette with horseradish cream

Bakewell Duck breast with ragu of leg with morello cherries in brandy

Ballotine of Cod with prawns and pancetta with herb parmentiers and Pernod sauce 

all served with;

Roast potatoes and parsnips, cauliflower cheese, roasted carrots,

Brussels sprouts with chestnuts and bacon and braised red cabbage

Desserts

Christmas pudding with brandy sauce and vanilla ice cream 

Chocolate and stout delice with honeycomb, malt ice cream and rum and raisin purée

Lemon Meringue pie with damson ice cream 

Selection of local cheeses with Irish marrow chutney, celery and crackers

£70 per person/ £30 child

New Year’s Eve Winter Banquet

We will welcome you 6.30pm (time may change depending on Covid-19 annoucement),

for an evening of celebration. Our Chefs will offer you a festive feast served at your tables.
